Casella Estate Wines takes out Exporter of the Year award
24 Oct 2003

Casella Estate Wines, based in southern New South Wales, has won NSW's 2003 State Exporter of the Year award. Casella has created the fastest-growing export brand in Australian wine history with its Yellow Tail product. The wine is now sold in 20 countries, including the UK, US, Germany and Finland, and achieved six million export cases in 27 months.

The award was presented to Casella by the NSW Minister for Regional Development, David Campbell, who said exports now account for more than 20 per cent of gross domestic product and companies like Casella are the "powerhouse of the economy".

Casella will now represent NSW in the Agribusiness category for the national awards to be held on November 12 in Sydney.
