Stripe rust blooms in southern wheat belt

Southern Australia may be on the verge of a stripe rust epidemic in its wheat crops. Disease hot spots are emerging in major cropping areas such as the Wimmera, Mallee and Riverina. Predicted rains may make conditions ideal for the outbreak to spread.
