Feds won’t pay for stock ID scheme

The federal trade minister Mark Vaile says the coalition won’t fund the National Livestock Identification Scheme. Vaile says he prefers to leave funding for the scheme to the states. The ALP has promised $10 million to help farmers meet the cost of implementing the identity scheme for the cattle and sheep.
