Parmalat shuts doors on Warwick factory

Milk producer Parmalat Australia said it would close its soft cheese and butter factory in Warwick, Queensland, within six months. Parmalat said the costs at the factory were too high, given the small volume of specialty products made at the plant. Italian-based Parmalat is under financial pressure worldwide following a $US4.9 billion fraud.
