Dry spell dampens grain yields 14 Oct 2004
Grain growers in South Australia fear that yields may drop by at least 40 per cent in late harvesting areas and by around 20 per cent in early harvesting areas. The drier than usual conditions in recent weeks, with temperatures already in excess of 40 degrees, are to blame for the forecast.
