SPC merger talks off
11 Nov 2004

National Foods suspended merger talks with canning company SPC Ardmona, in light of the unsolicited bid by New Zealand dairy group Fonterra for National Foods. The National Foods board says it still supports the merger with SPC, but said it was not practical until the company's future is decided.
