AWB profits from record harvest 25 Nov 2004
Grains export monopoly AWB said it more than doubled annual profit to $97 million after a record wheat harvest, and included a full-year profit from its new rural services arm, Landmark. AWB said it had a good season last year, with wheat production recovering to a record 25.2 million tonnes after the previous year's drought-affected 9.7 million tonnes. AWB exported 19 million tonnes of wheat in 2003-04.
