Darling Downs retailers fuel petrol price discounts

Small businesses in the Darling Downs have opted for a radical pricing policy to woo customers from the big supermarkets by introducing a fuel discount of 24 cents a litre. Three dozen businesses in Toowoomba and Warwick will provide the discount at a range of service stations until December 23. It will then revert to their regular fuel discounts of four cents a litre, equal to those of supermarket chains. The businesses say their "Servo Savers" program was starting to show results.
