Coke might be it for fruit growers
30 Nov 2004

Victorian fruit growers said they were encouraged about the prospects for growth if Coca Cola Amatil succeeds in its takeover bid for cannery SPC Ardmona. The Northern Victoria Fruitgrowers Association said they were positive about Coke’s ability to develop market opportunities, but wanted more detail on supply and price guarantees for growers. Growers have been concerned that prices for their fruit could fall if CCA moved production away from canned fruit and into juice.
