National Foods pleads for independence
6 Dec 2004

National Foods will try to persuade its farmers and shareholders that they would miss out on the benefits of downstream rationalisation in the dairy industry if they sell their shares to New Zealand dairy group Fonterra. National Foods will also emphasise its business development plans, which include more than 80 new lines being launched across white milk, flavoured milk, fresh dairy foods and cheese.
