Farm service giants throw manure over fertiliser supply deals
9 Mar 2005

Futuris Corporation, parent company of the Elders farm services network, yesterday accused fertiliser giant Incitec Pivot of misleading the market about developments in the fertiliser supply business since Elders and AWB Landmark announced plans to invest in Incitec Pivot's rival, Hi-Fert. Futuris alleged that the selective disclosure by Incitec Pivot, one of Elders' major suppliers, was "typical of an anachronistic monopoly that deserves reform". Incitec Pivot last week dropped its previous dealer agreements with Elders and Landmark.
