Murray ministers agree to release half of planned environmental flows
5 Apr 2005

The Murray Darling Ministerial Council finally agreed to activate the “Living Murray” Plan. The plan will release up to $500 million in funding for environmental programs, including measures in New South Wales and Victoria to return 240 gigalitres in environmental flows to the river system, or about half the target of 500 gigalitres agreed last year.
