Cattle farms quarantined in northern NSW
13 Apr 2005

The NSW Department of Primary Industry said 52 cattle properties in the north of New South Wales have been put in quarantine after an outbreak of deadly tick fever. Three properties so far have lost 20 head of cattle. The first incident was reported last month on a property at Old Koreelah where 13 cattle died. Last week two farms at Carool, near the Queensland border lost seven head.
