Bureau model predicts El Nino event

The Bureau of Meteorology said its ocean and atmosphere model indicated that an El Nino event was developing, with sea temperatures rising in the Tasman Sea. But two thirds of alternative models run by international forecasters predict neutral conditions. The bureau said that this time of year was a transitional stage, with low accuracy for predictions.
