Some farmers face fourth year of drought
17 May 2005

Farmers struggling with years of drought desperately need extra financial help from the government, the NSW Farmers' Association president says. NSW Farmers said some farmers were experiencing their fourth year of drought and struggling after outlaying hundreds of thousands of dollars on failed crops. The farming lobby has assembled about 1,000 farmers in Parkes in western NSW to discuss responses to the prolonged drought.
