Adequate rain allows AACo to increase breeding herd
27 May 2005

Australian Agricultural Co said all but two of its 25 properties had received adequate rainfall this year and that it expected to achieve high prices for prime cattle. Even so, AACo said it expected sales of cattle from rivals' with drier stations would cap on cattle prices more broadly, and may reduce the accounting value of AACo's herd. AACo said it expected to increase breeding herd numbers by 20,400 head in 2005, even though many other cattle farmers are expected to reduce the size of their herd.
