Graincrop’s winter receivals decline

GrainCorp said the dry summer and autumn pushed down grain receivals for the six months to March 2005 to nine million tonnes, from 11.1 million tonnes the previous year. This figure comprised 8.6 million tonnes of winter crops and 400,000 tonnes of summer crops. A further 500,000 tonnes will have been harvested since March, bringing total 2004/05 winter and summer receivals to 9.5 million tonnes. GrainCorp will issue its first winter crop receival forecast in late July.
