Wool prices take a tumble
16 Jun 2005

The wool market benchmark indicator has hit a three-and-a-half year low, despite low production. And prices may fall further, with wool futures trading at four year lows.

Last week the offering of 35,000 bales pushed the market down by two per cent, leaving the Eastern Market Indicator at 713 cents per kilogram. Finer micron grades experienced the heaviest fall in prices.
