Widespread rain a surprise
20 Jun 2005

Steady, soaking rain fell on western Queensland for the second time in less than a week, while good follow-up rains were also reported in several districts of western NSW. In Western Australia unseasonal rain soaked some of the big cattle properties of the Kimberley region. The Bureau of Meteorology said most districts of the Kimberleys received more than 50mm, which is unusual for the Kimberleys in the dry season.
