Dampened Queensland shires remain drought declared

The recent rain in southern and central Queensland won’t cause the Queensland government to remove any shires from its drought-declared register. The primary industries department said recent falls would help winter crops but were not enough to end the drought. Up to 60 per cent of Queensland has been declared in drought.
