Blueberry growers plan marketing levy
29 Jun 2005

The blueberry industry wants to impose a levy on growers to fund research and development and promotion. The Australian Blueberry Growers' Association wants all 120 growers to vote on the levy later this year. Blueberries are grown across Australia except for in the Northern Territory, with most growers in northern NSW and southern Victoria. But fewer than 20 per cent of people buy or eat the fruit.
