Hail a wrecker in WA wheat belt 21 Oct 2005
A surprise hail storm destroyed about 25,000 hectares of crops in the West Australian wheat belt. Six farmers were affected, with "knee-high crops were just pulverised as if there had been a mower driven over them," according to one farmer. Crops not affected by hail received good rain.
