Supermarkets prefer Queensland bananas

Banana growers in Queensland are enjoying a $17 a carton price advantage over growers in NSW, due to the more even quality of their fruit, which suits supermarket buyers. Different approaches in packing sheds appears to be the cause of lower quality fruit from NSW.
