Power companies want to provide Broadband

Eleven electricity utilities joined forces to maximise value from their infrastructure and use their fibre cable to deliver broadband to rural Australia. The joint venture Utilitel was currently involved in 45 projects around Australia and planned to use its infrastructure to compete with Telstra to deliver telecommunications services.
