Grape Growers didn’t see the Wine Lake Coming

The surplus of wine grapes will take two to three years to subside as growers called on wineries to communicate better and take a longer term view to assist industry planning. The 2005 Wine Outlook Conference in Adelaide heard that “we didn't see (the wine lake) coming” and many growers without long term supply contracts especially in the cooler regions would find this vintage particularly tough.
