Wet winter and mild spring equals bumper harvest
30 Nov 2005

Late winter rains and mild spring weather have helped push up estimates for the winter crop. ABARE revised its forecast for the national winter crop to 37.8 million tonnes. The winter cereal crop will be 20 per cent higher that of last year. In Western Australia farmers expect the second-biggest harvest on record.
