AWB monopoly under fire

WA grain storage and handling giant CBH has been encouraged by strong grower support in its bid to break AWB’s wheat export monopoly and will file further applications to sell directly to Asia if its first application, lodged last week, is accepted by the Wheat Export Authority and AWB. The Grains Council of Australia criticised the CBH’s strategy saying it lacked credibility.
