Earth hots up
19 Dec 2005

June and October were the hottest months ever recorded around the world as a result of increased atmospheric levels of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide. The World Meteorological Organisation said 97 per cent of Australia experienced hotter than average temperatures this year. The last time the earth was this warm was over 5000 years ago said the WMO.
