Sizzling heat in the south
10 Jan 2008

People in Victoria and South Australia face another day of searing heat with temperatures of over 40 degrees. The temperature in Melbourne is expected to reach 41 degrees later today and will only ease to around 27 degrees around 3am tomorrow, but after reaching 40 degrees again early in the day a cooler change will move through. The coolest place in Victoria today will be Mount Hotham where a top of only 23 degrees is forecast.
