Grain body says no central desk needed
15 Jan 2008

The Grains Policy Institute is urging the federal government to completely deregulate wheat exports and not create a body to look after commercial activities such as trade advocacy, research and development and promotion of Australian wheat internationally. The grains industry think tank said that the only two non-commercial functions that need to be addressed are wheat variety classification and receival standard setting, both of which could be covered by existing processes in the industry.

The Australian Financial Review, 15/1/2008
