Rain lets GrainCorp lift forecast
17 Jan 2008

Things are looking up at GrainCorp where they are summer rains have increased their crop estimates by about a million tonnes to between 4 and 5 million tonnes in total, however this is still only a little more than one-third of their historic average of around 10 million tonnes. Excellent growing conditions in northern NSW, southern Queensland and central Queensland should provide a bumper summer crop with parts of the Darling Downs area expected to deliver its best crop in seven or eight years.
