Wool prices prompt rush to restock
22 Jan 2008

High wool prices are prompting growers to rebuild their flocks, driving up prices for merino rams around the country. Yesterday's Great Southern Supreme Merino sale in Canberra saw one ram sold for $16,000 compared with the best price of $12,000 achieved last year. Wool prices were up by around 35 per cent last year and in the first two weeks of the new year were up another 3 to 5 per cent.
