SA says no to GM
11 Feb 2008

While Victoria and NSW have lifted their bans on GM crops, South Australia has bucked the trend by deciding to keep their ban. Rejecting the advice of its own advisory committee, which had said that the ban should be lifted except for on Kangaroo Island, the South Australian Government will keep its GM moratorium. Victoria and NSW both lifted their bans in December in order to use GM crops to meet the challenges of climate change.
