Rural property stages a recovery 13 Feb 2008
The recent rains and improved commodity prices are causing a boom in rural property sales. In northern NSW, rural real estate agent Bruce Gunning said that he has sold $135 million worth of property in the last three weeks which is more than he has sold over the past three years. Mr Gunning said that many farmers are reaching retirement age and have been wanting to sell their properties for some time, but with record crop prices a lot of those now want to hang on for another year or two to recover some of the losses suffered during the drought.
