GrainCorp now single class
28 Feb 2008

GrainCorp now only has one class of shares after a vote approved the scrapping of special grower-owned shares and voting rights. Chairman Don Taylor said that the vote places Graincorp in a position to capitalise on future opportunities and to compete more effectively in an open market. The company also said that it expected its grain deliveries to rise to between 4 and 5 million tonnes compared with last year's 2.8 million tonnes. Graincorp shares rose 16.8 per cent to close at $13 yesterday.
