Improved weather helps pesticide company
6 Mar 2008

Pesticide company Nufarm has reported a strong start to the year and announced two acquisitions worth $236 million. A company statement said that after the drought resulted in a very slow August to November period improved seasonal conditions and a lift in the outlook in the rural sector sales in December and January have been very strong. Nufarm has bought British company AH Marks which produces phenoxy herbicides and is in the process of buying Etigra in the US which makes crop protection products for the turf and specialty markets.
