Government should pay for guest workers

Growers need government assistance to bring in guest workers from Pacific islands says the Horticulture Council. The lobby group is joining industry calls for the federal government to open up a national three pilot program to bring in seasonal workers. The council says government should meet all upfront costs related to bringing in workers which would then be repaid by the employers.
