US floods put pressure on prices
16 Jun 2008

Twenty per cent of Iowa's corn crop is believe to be destroyed by flooding in the US corn belt. Extreme weather including Tornados are also affecting Indiana Kansas and Illinois. Analysts say already high food prices will rise further as a result of the damage. Twenty people are dead and 24,000 evacuated from Des Moines and other cities in Iowa.
