AWB investment strategy cost farmers 16 Jun 2008
Risky hedging strategies by AWB cost wheat growers $260 million according to the Export Wheat Commission official assessment of AWB to be released today. Losses from hedging were borne entirely by growers while the company took a portion of profits said the EWC. The senate will debate ending AWB's monopoly on wheat exports this week. The Liberal Party has joined Labor in supporting the bill.
