Living Murray water plan failing
20 Jun 2008

The Murray/Darling River will not get the promised 500 gigalitres in additional environmental flows by the June 09 deadline in the Living Murray plan. NSW and the Commonwealth have not made any contributions to the plan as yet. Victorian irrigators have contributed 120 gigalitres, while the South Australian government has bought and listed another 12 gigalitres on the Living Murray environmental register.
