AWB must reform to compete
14 Jul 2008

AWB must reform its constitution and abolish A class shareholdings in order to retain a good share price and access capital markets says an independent report to the board of directors. A special meeting to be held today will vote on the issue of changing the structure of the board and the company to abolish A class (grower) shares. The same move failed at February''s AGM after reformers failed to get a 75 per cent majority of growers to agree.
