Landcare funding announced
23 Jul 2008

Twenty eight million dollars in Landcare funding has been announced by the federal government. Grants went to a range of Landcare groups, catchment management authorities, research centres, industry groups and natural resource management bodies. The grants are part of a three-year package that will fund 140 Landcare projects as part of the $2.25 billion Caring for Our Country initiative, unveiled during the federal election campaign. As well as yesterday''s funding, Landcare groups can apply under another Caring for our Country program, the $25 million open grants 2008 fund, which is open for applications until Friday, August 1.
