Rain stops sugar harvest

Heavy rain has brought sugar cane and crushing operations in key growing areas of Queensland to a complete halt says Canegrowers, the sugar industry association. The stoppages will potentially impact on annual production of sugar from Australia''s sugar state. Australia is one of the world''s largest producers of sugar.
