Cotton subsidies hold up Doha round

The World Trade Organisation''s Doha round talks, due to have ended last Saturday, will continue until tomorrow as representatives of 35 countries work on a consensus agreement drafted last week. Cotton subsidies in rich countries continues to be a sticking point while India will not agree to reductions in tariffs that would impact subsistence farmers.
