Incitec triples profit, doubles dividend

Big fertiliser maker Incitec Pivot has revealed a record net profit of $657.2 million for the year to September 30, more than three times higher than last year’s result. Incitec has doubled its’ dividend payment to 19.5 cents per share fully franked. The company has secured 80 per cent of the $1 billion in capital raising it wants to pay off $400 million of debt related to the acquisition of Dyno Nobel. Chief Executive Julian Segal denied the company was looking at further acquisitions. Source: Financial Review 13/11/08
