AWB wins court case reprieve
28 Mar 2008

A class action in the United States against wheat exporter AWB has been dismissed. US wheat growers alleged that the company had entered into an illegal conspiracy with the Iraq government, abusing the oil-for-food program to gain monopoly access to the Iraqi market. The claims were dismissed by the US District Court in New York on the grounds that it did not have jurisdiction over the subject as the alleged conduct did not have a direct impact on American domestic commerce.

The Australian Financial Review, 28/3/2008
