Wheat optimism restrained
3 Jul 2008

Rabobank estimated wheat production in Australia this year at between 20 million tons and 24 million tons, it said in a monthly review. The agribusiness bank said significant production risks remain for Australia''s wheat production this season. Early stage crop development has also been below average in a number of regions due to a lack of follow-up rainfall, which like last season, threatens the development of Australia''s wheat crop over coming months.

Rabobank, 3/7/2008
