Feedlots looking for cattle
7 Apr 2009

Only about half of Australia''s feedlot capacity is now being used but prices remain around $215 delivered. Last year''s high grain prices, stronger dollar and restricted cattle numbers due to drought have limited the cattle in feedlots currently. Feedlotters are mostly using barley now due to the price difference with wheat. High grain prices translated into high numbers of grass fed cattle in retail channels last year.
