Dairy Farmers a tasty morsel
31 Jan 2008

Suitors are lining up to court NSW-based Dairy Farmers co-operative. There are at least four major players in the dairy industry preparing bids as consolidation in the industry gathers pace. As well as interest from several overseas companies, National Foods is keen to buy the business, as are Goodman Fielder, Fonterra and the Victorian Murray-Goulburn co-operative. Prospective buyers are expected to receive basic information about the sale shortly and the company has brought forward announcement of its first-half results to 6 February to assist with the process.
