Farmers must pay for guest workers

The government has rejected industry calls from farmer's lobby groups for the travel and relocation costs of guest workers to be met by the taxpayer. Immigration Minister Chris Evans said costs would be largely borne by employers and warned farmers that the proposed scheme was not a cheap labour program.
